2017 School Camps at SPW

School camps are an important part of the curriculum at SPW. Outdoor education builds a sense of personal achievement, self-dependence and interdependence and we find students return with a greater sense of empathy, with an acknowledgement of the importance of team building, and clearer planning and decision making skills.

Parent Information Session Details

Preparation for the Year 2-7 camps has begun and in order to make the process as smooth as possible, Wilderness Escape Outdoor Adventures in conjunction with SPW, will be hosting Parent Information Sessions for year groups as follows:

Session Dates and Times:
Monday 31 July- Year 3 Parent Information Session – 6.00pm
Monday 31 July – Year 4 and 5  – 7.00pm
Monday 7 August – Year 6 and 7 – 6.00pm

Venue: St Margaret’s Chapel

Purpose: This is a good opportunity for our parent community to gain a better understanding of the types of activities your child will be involved in along with logistical information for the relevant camp. There will also be some further information on duty of care for the children and responsibilities of parents to complete the on-line consent forms.

RSVP: No RSVP required.

We are looking forward to seeing you there.

An information letter will be going home on Monday for Years 3-7, and will be available on Skoolbag, detailing the 2017 camp arrangements. An online registration system will be used, as in past years, for families to register their child for camp. Instructions and links will be available on the letter.
