Junior Musical 2026 – Spring Chicken

Chickalita Conquers the Dr Pamela Wall Centre

Our 2026 Junior Musical was the very first musical to be held in our fantastic Dr Pamela Wall Centre. How amazing to see the theatre packed and the stage filled with chickens, collie dogs, pigs, rabbits, sheep and even a lion and bear!

Mighty Efforts by Little People
‘Spring Chicken’ was a joyous musical perfect for 150 energetic and excited little chickens. A junior musical is a rare, and slightly crazy, undertaking. Students as young as 5 taking to the stage for 6 performances. We learnt 9 songs, dialogue, dance moves, and being part of the theatre. What a joy to work with this young cast giving their all. In the age of AI, we are proudly live and created by humans.

Why do it alone when we can do it together?
Chickalita taught us to stand up for what we believe in and that we need each other. One little chicken’s effort can change the world! Trying to do it alone and not trusting each other leads to loneliness, when what we actually need is to come together.

Many talents bringing it together
The feedback was amazing and a testament to our students’ commitment. Thank you to the wonderful team of staff, parents and friends who have helped bring this experience to life for our students.

It only happens with a fantastic team of people who support my vision and are willing to volunteer their time. A special shout out to the students who have helped create the set, backdrops, choreography, crew and contributed so much to this show. The costumes and design blew us all away.

What a joyous and outstanding experience. We hope you enjoyed your trip to the farm and our Junior Musical ‘Spring Chicken’.
