Honoring the Cherished Role of Grandparents & Special Friends in Our Children’s Lives
On a sunny Autumn morning approximately 400 Grandparents and Special Friends joined their Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 grandchildren for a morning of joy.
Our special visitors explored the children’s classrooms and joined in with their learning. Each year level then performed their favourite songs including “We love our Grandparents”, which was a real crowd pleaser. The children read prayers shared with bubble blowing to ensure the blessings reached all our guests.
Children also shared a special outdoors morning tea with their visitors, taking the opportunity to show them some of their favourite play spaces.
The Reception to Year 2 Grandparents and Special Friends morning was a great opportunity to celebrate 25 Years of St Peter’s Woodlands. All classes enjoyed singing Happy Birthday with gusto and cutting the cake with Mrs Finlay (Principal). We hope everyone involved in this event felt special. We are very thankful for these very important people in our students lives.
