The SPW Community

21 February 2025

When a school is working at its best, the community it nurtures becomes a network for families.

We strive to provide many opportunities for our community to come together, in both structured and casual settings. We would like to introduce and remind families of the different ways in which you can connect with the school and other families.

Coffee Mornings
Coffee mornings provide an opportunity to gather with other parents and staff for a warm cuppa in the morning. An onsite coffee van is available fortnightly and at other community and school events.

Monday BBQ & PFA
Every Monday parents and students can purchase from the BBQ Shelter Shed near the McKenzie Oval a selection of sausages, fruit boxes and Zooper Doopers with all funds going to the PFA and supporting our school. If you would like to volunteer your time, please contact the PFA.

The PFA
The PFA run a number of events for parents and students throughout the year. If you would like to volunteer your time please contact your Year Level Representative for more details. Details on PFA events and activities will be communicated via Audiri and Year Level Facebook Groups.

The Library
The Library’s opening hours provide families with the opportunity to access it before and after school. We welcome parents and students to pop in and browse the selection, read stories together, return or borrow books.

Library Opening Hours
8:15 – 8:30am independently or with a parent
3:15 – 3:45pm accompanied by a parent

Chat & Wrap
Throughout the year the Library will periodically be seeking assistance in covering books. We invite volunteers to come in for a Chat and Wrap session – all details will be outlined in Audiri.

The Village
Once a term SPW invites parents to attend The Village. It’s a welcoming space for parents to connect over their shared journey parenting neurodivergent children. Details of the next session will be on Audiri.
