Partners in learning
We believe in building partnerships with parents based on open communication. Asking questions, providing feedback and visiting the School for Assemblies, Chapel, student performances and events are encouraged so that parents and teachers have regular opportunities for verbal communication.
Students and teachers utilise various communication tools across the life of the school. For example, Reading Logs for Early Years students, the Student Diary for students in Year 3 – 6 and Frog, an online Learning Management System, for Year 5 – 6 students. Each tool serves a specific purpose supporting children to build responsibility and to ensure strong connections between home and school.
The St Peter’s Woodlands app, SkoolBag, is our primary method of communication between school and home. We encourage all families to access the St Peter’s Woodlands app on a regular basis. A variety of information is shared on SkoolBag, including events and important dates, class news, excursion forms, reminders, and information about extra-curricular sport and music.
St Peter’s Woodlands eNewsletters are also published two times per term containing more extensive articles about life at the school. You can view our SPW eNews here.
