The Year 6 Class of 2020 returned to St Peter’s Woodlands on Friday 28 March for a fantastic reunion.
Reconnecting with friends and teachers, the students relished in revisiting the place where so many memories were made and marveled at how much has changed since they left.
Close to 50 Old Scholars attended on the night, with a further 10 sending their apologies — a wonderful show of connection and continued affection for their time at SPW. It was especially pleasing to see so many of their former teachers there as well, enjoying the chance to catch up and hear what their past students have been up to in the years since leaving.
There was a genuine buzz throughout the evening as stories were shared, friendships rekindled, and plenty of laughs had. For many, it felt like no time had passed at all. Video footage was shared of their time together at SPW dating back to their first day of Reception.
Whilst the students gathered at SPW, a number of parents also took the opportunity to reconnect, meeting at the Broadway Hotel for their own catch-up. It was fantastic to see that same strong sense of community extend beyond the students, with parents enjoying the chance to come together again.
Overall, it was a warm, relaxed and memorable evening — a celebration not only of the Class of 2020, but of the lasting connections that make the SPW community so special. Plans are already underway for their next reunion – 10 years, in 2030.
