Term 3 was all about the SPW Dads & Grandfathers
Father’s Day Breakfast
After a two year absence, due to Covid, the Father’s Day Breakfast returned and boy, it did not disappoint!
The Fathers, Grandfathers and special people in our community gathered for an early breakfast and a happy snap, followed by a kick of the footy on the oval. It was a lovely morning filled with lots of smiles.
The event would not have been possible without the help of our amazing volunteers. A huge thank you to Quang Doan for taking on the task and to Jessica Hodges, Angela Doan, Simon Ritchie and Christie Thompson for waking up early to feed the crowd.
We hope all the Father’s had a lovely day.
Dad’s Day Out
Another successful day on our calendar was the Dad’s Derby Day, organised by Josh Morrison. The Dads enjoyed a day at the races, with the event raising $2525.50 from the silent auction and a further $450 from ticket sales.
Thank you to all that attended and for your generosity.
Community Clean Up Day
Armed with gloves, tongs and buckets, a group from the school community wandered the streets around the school, collecting rubbish which could otherwise end up in our oceans.
The rubbish was then sorted and placed into the appropriate bins. It was lovely to see all the parents teaming up with their children to improve our surrounding environment, working together to do our part in saving the planet.
We would like to thank all those who attended and we hope you enjoyed the donuts!
