The German Learning Space has a new look makeover.

Over the Christmas period German Specialist Teacher Frau Stephenson, together with Julie Staley, painted a gorgeous mural on the wall of the German learning space. The mural is based on the German “ Mἅrchenstraβe”, the Fairytale road which runs 600 kilometres from Hanau to Bremen and depicts the journey of the brothers Grimm. The mural opens children’s imaginations and extends our German Language programme in a creative way.SPW German Room_1

To celebrate the renovation of the German learning space, a special ‘German inspired’ morning tea with staff was held with freshly baked streusel (Oma’s secret recipe) and other delicious treats.SPW German Room_3

Spectacular Language Learning Spaces

From the start of 2018 both language classrooms (Japanese and German) offer fantastic and authentic cultural spaces for the students to engage in their inquiries into Japanese and German language and culture.Japanese Room_1

These amazing spaces will inspire the students to enjoy developing their international mindedness and cultural understanding as well as motivating their communication skills in Japanese and German. We invite the school community to visit and experience these spaces for themselves.SPW Japanese Room_2
