We welcome Lisa Harris to our learning community

Commencing at the start of Term 2, Lisa is just weeks into the role of IB Primary Years Programme Coordinator and already bringing exceptional leadership to her role. Lisa recently returned from Hong Kong where she spent the last 14 years in international schools, specialising in International Baccalaureate curriculum.

The important IB Primary Years Programme Coordinator role was implemented as a direct result of the Learning Pillar within the Extraordinary Futures Strategic Plan 2020 and Beyond. We are thrilled to have Lisa join our team here at St Peter’s Woodlands.

Her role will involve working with teachers and students to reflect, plan and make learning meaningful and ensure our students are prepared with the skills they need for the future.

“I am passionate about the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and have been a coordinator in international school settings.”

She has strong leadership skills from experiences as a teacher year level leader, OSHC director, curriculum coordinator and from coaching teachers to embed and improve practice. She has also been challenged to grow within her career from Acting Vice Principal roles and coaching teachers in Cambodia within lower socio economic areas.

“I have lived in both Adelaide and Hong Kong and we are fortunate enough to have family and friends in both places who provide us with support, amazing memories and experiences.”

Lisa is enjoying getting to know the students, staff and friendly families she has already met in the school yard.

“It is such an important part of my role to get to know the school and the community so that we can learn together.”

We look forward to hearing more from Lisa over the coming months.

St Peter’s Woodlands is an accredited International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school.
