Come along and hear about SPW’s approach to reading and spelling with guest speaker Dr Lorraine Hammond.

We invite our community and friends to hear from Associate Professor Lorraine Hammond AO whose work at Edith Cowan University in WA is focused on Early Learning literacy and teacher development. Lorraine has been integral in guiding our journey toward teaching children to read and spell through explicit direct instruction.

We are very proud to be the only Independent school in South Australia Lorraine is in partnership with. We’ve asked Lorraine to help you understand why we have changed our approach – the benefits for your son and daughter, and how as adults in partnership with us, you can support your child in learning to read and spell.

There is no charge and you are welcome to bring a friend.
