Celebrating a year of progress, philanthropy, and community support as we prepare to bring the Dr. Pamela Wall Centre to life in 2025.
2024 has been another busy year with several building projects completed around the school grounds. These upgrades, renovations and improvements include;
- The Years 5 & 6 Gillam Learning Spaces
- The Years 3 & 4 Taylor Playground
- The Chapel accessibility project complete with new security fencing and gating
- Successfully campaigned for a safer children’s crossing on Partridge Street
- An ongoing renovation project in the Millington Building which will be completed ready for our Year 3 and 4 classes in 2025.
This building is named in honour of Dr. Pamela Wall OAM, whose record-breaking donation has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. This project is also made possible through the invaluable support of the SPW Foundation, contributions to our Building Fund, and the incredible generosity of our community. The success of last year’s Day of Extraordinary giving day played a pivotal role in helping us take this bold step forward.
Over the upcoming Christmas break, the demolition of Baddams Hall will make the first visible step in this incredible journey. In preparation, we have been busily relocating essential services such as the Uniform Shop, PE Office and storage and Out of Hours School Care (OHSC) to ensure a seamless transition.
When students return to school in 2025, they will notice that the familiar Baddams Hall will be noticeably missing and the construction site will be fenced off. While the site may appear quiet initially, vital engineering and provision for essential services are being carried out, before we will see visible building progress as the structure beings to take shape.
We would like to thank our community for their flexibility and patience as we navigate these exciting changes.
Exciting times lie ahead – stay tuned for updates as we build a bright future for SPW together!
