Volunteers play a vital role at SPW and we are truly always appreciative of their contribution.

Our Volunteer data base is made up mostly of Parents, Grandparents, Old scholars and some of the St Peters Church Parish. If other members of your family who would like to be involved they would be most welcome.

Becoming a Volunteer at SPW

If you would like to become a Volunteer it is a simple process. It starts with filling out a Volunteer agreement form that you can collect from Ali in the front office or download here.

To help in the classroom, canteen, excursions, incursions or in any other capacity it is a requirement that you have undergone the DCSI screening and completed the RAN (Response to Abuse and Neglect) online course which is the next step in the process.

To be fully completed this process can take up to 6 weeks….but often it is quicker. If you are a teacher or already have a child related DCSI clearance and RAN certificate it will take a couple of days. Thank goodness they last for 3 years! It is lovely to see the children so excited because a member of the family is involved in their school community.

Canteen Volunteers are always welcome

The canteen is looking for Volunteers and now has a shiny new kitchen to make preparation so much easier. Add lunch provided, great company in Rosy and Jayne and lots of happy children’s faces at recess and lunch time makes for an enjoyable day out.

Last year we farewelled Cherilyn Philp (Grandma to two of our past students) who was there every Thursday for 2 years. Cherilyn was highly valued and will be missed by Rosy and Jayne.
