October was the month of catching up and reminiscing about school days, be it with friends you have not seen for a year or two or perhaps 50 years!
St Peter’s Woodlands Old Scholars’ Association
St Peter’s Woodlands Old Scholars’ Association hosted 3 events in October. Reunions for the Class of 2020, Class of 2021 and for Woodlands Old Scholars.
Class of 2020 and 2021 Reunions
It was great to see everyone! Past students met at the Shelter Shed to catch up on old times, chat to some of the teaching staff who wanted to hear of their new adventures and then it was off for a tour of the school, which included watching a video of their final St Peter’s Woodlands’ days, followed by pizza and drinks.
On Wednesday 27 October, 55 Woodlands ‘Girls’ gathered at the Glenelg Golf Club for a luncheon. There were many stories of the old days and some of the mischief that went on, particularly in the boarding house, with the room filled with much laughter and good humour.
Memorabilia from Woodlands days was on offer which also brought many more cherished memories.
The day offered an opportunity for ladies from all eras of the school to come together and it served as a perfect 50-year reunion for the ‘Class of 71’. There was also a large contingent from the ‘Class of 55’.
Such was the success of the event, it has now been decided to do it all again next year. Make contact with past school mates and organise a table. Details for the 2022 Woodlands Luncheon will be released next year.
Stay in Touch
